This thing is phenominal. I use it for work, travel and heavy-duty programs. At 2.8 pounds, it is less than a third of what I used to carry and twice as powerful. I've put serious 3-d database programs in it, PGP whole disk encryption, litigation software and the entire Office 2007 suite. PowerPoint presentations on the road just shed eight pounds. I did upgrade RAM to 2 gig (for about $20) - it took me five minutes and one screwdriver. The fan is so silent I can use it in court right next to the microphone and no one hears a thing.
