Samsung NC10-11GP 10.2-Inch Pink Netbook - 6 Cell Battery Get it now!

I'm a software engineer and have been using laptop computers exclusively for the past 9 years. My work laptop is a Dell Latitude D-620 and my other personal laptop is a Dell XPS M1210. They are both pretty powerful. I use Visual Studio 2005 and 2008, SQL Server 2005 and 2008, IIS, Office 2003 and a host of other programs. Just for kicks I decided to buy this tiny netbook just to see what it could do. Let me say that I'm pretty impressed.
First, I hooked up my external DVD drive and immediately installed Windows XP Pro with SP3. I repartitioned the drive so I could use the entire 160 GB as a single drive. Then I installed Visual Studio 2008, SQL Express 2005, IIS, Office 2003, Ektron's CMS400 v7.6.1.53 SP3 (I work for them and build web sites). I also installed Cisco VPN Client 5, Virtual PC 2007 and Roxio Easy Media Creator 10. So far I've been able to run Visual Studio, SQL Server, IIS and all of the other programs. I haven't tested Roxio yet but I'm guessing it'll work just fine.
The NC10-14 isn't blazingly fast but I'm blown away by how much it can do. I replaced the RAM with a 2 GB module and added the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000. I've been using Vista for almost 2 years now so I do miss some of the features such as simplified connectivity but I decided to go the XP Pro route since it's much more stable and isn't as much of a resource hog. I'll probably upgrade to Windows 7 once it's released.
The NC10-14 is small yet very comfortable. I'm used to Laptop Keyboards so the small size isn't a problem for me. The screen is very bright when it's at 100% brightness. Even when it's unplugged the screen is still pretty bright. Keyboard layout is almost identical to my Dells so I have absolutely no complaints about keys being in the wrong place. The touchpad is small but since I use a mouse it's of little consequence to me. I especially appreciate how Samsung put images on the deck to indicate where and what the ports are on the side without having to look or feel for them. Nice touch. The weight... incredible. I bought the XPS M1210 because it was under 5 pounds. To me a laptop over 6 pounds is a desktop replacement. I travel a lot for work and lugging around all of my stuff means that I needed something light. The NC10-14 at 2+ pounds is almost unnoticable.
Wow factor - I brought it into work today to install all of my software and I had about a dozen co-workers make praising comments about it. Several were amazed at its low price, size and performance. Several even said that they didn't even know what a netbook was but would definitely buy one for their husbands, wives, kids, dogs, cats, gerbils... They're that cheap (inexpensive).
I give this laptop 5 stars and unless the thing dies due to shoddy craftsmanship I'll keep that rating. I'd recommend this to anyone.
